Army rendition of Gaga hit storms the Internet (The Newsroom)
The Newsroom – Members of the 82nd Airborne Division posted the video last week, and it went viral, logging more than 200,000 views to date. As The Smoking Gun pronounced in presenting the video's remarkable backstory, it's almost certainly "the most entertaining music video homage ever shot in a war zone." It's a largely faithful version of the controversial "Telephone" video — with, of course, certain allowances for improvised props, since it's hard to rustle up full spandex costumes in the desert wilds of Afghanistan's Farah province.
